Pacific Conference of Churches

The conference is taking place in the church building in Auckland built by the members of the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga, in a style typical of their homeland.

Both Tongans and Samoans have many congregations in NZ which are part of their home churches and not part of the NZ Methodist Church.

I was honoured to be able to address the General Assembly (in the presence of the Queen of Tonga) and talk about our history of support for our partners in the Pacific and our hope to increase our capacity for partnership in the region.
