Pacific Conference

The opening ceremony of the five yearly Assembly of the Pacific Conference of Churches took place today in Auckland. Inevitably it involved a cava ceremony, the heads of member churches were called in turn for a coconut cup of cava to drink. Julia Edwards and I carried out this duty for the British Methodist Church.

We now begin five days of business.
