Sunday

April 30, 2017

On Sunday, Val and I went to the little Nanuku church in the informal settlement where Val leads the youth group. It is in one of the circuits of the Indian Division of the Methodist Church in Fiji.

Craig, last year’s Youth President, and I had visited this congregation on his visit in 2016 so it was great to return. It was a refreshing morning service.

Afterwards we picked our way along the marshy footpaths between the houses to make one or two house calls and pray with people.

While there are often talks about moving the families to a better and less vulnerable environment, it has not happened yet and families have been here with very limited facilities for many years.
